The Cheap SD
The Cheap SD is similar to the Broke SD in the sense that, in the end, neither will actually be interested in any type of arrangement or even paying for anything. The difference is that the Cheap SD actually has money or the means to spoil and he wants to live the fantasy of being a real deal sugar daddy, but is incredibly cheap and has no desire to actually spend money on his sugar baby. While the Broke SD wants to live the fantasy of being wealthy and having power by pretending to be a wealthy sugar daddy, the Cheap SD has wealth, power, and prestige, but he is a penny-pinching miser or general cheapskate who doesn’t want to spend a dime of his money. He may want arm candy, intimacy (read: sex), or to be seen around town with a hot sugar baby—he just doesn’t want to shell out a single cent for the opportunity to do so.
The Cheap SD is often so cheap that he will actively seek out bargains and places to meet on the first date. He might always try to meet for happy hour to save money, or even meet at a coffee shop or a cheaper restaurant. When the bill does come, he likely won’t tip very much, and when he goes back to his car, he likely wouldn’t have forked over the money to even valet.
The Cheap SD is almost a hybrid of the Broke SD and the Hit it and Split it SD (discussed next) because he desires to have intimacy as cheap and as quick as possible. When one thinks about the mindset of the Cheap SD, the radio shock jockey Tom Leykis comes to mind. For years Tom Leykis had a radio show that taught men how to get laid for less money, and as quickly and cheaply as possible. Leykis teaches men to be as cheap as possible and spend little to no money on women prior to sex. A few tidbits of his advice, distilled together in his Leykis 101 “class,” is to spend money on alcohol because it lowers inhibitions and gets the girl in the sack more quickly. He also recommends that men go and eat a steak dinner and then take a woman out. By doing this, the man will order less (maybe a salad) which will pressure the woman into ordering less food and thereby making the bill cheaper. The Cheap SD is the epitome of the man in the Leykis 101 class, the guy who wants to spend time with an attractive female with the hope of quick intimacy, while spending as little as possible to get there.
